We went grocery shopping to Lee's yesterday, and were very surprised and excited to see a 2lb pkg of strawberries on sale for 2 for $5. We picked up 2 and started visioning dessert for Sunday. Can you say Angel Food cake with Danish Dessert and fresh sliced strawberries. Yummy! The kids couldn't wait till Sunday, so we passed out some to eat. We were so surprised at the size. The one we gave Jacob was almost the size on an apple. He had a big smile on his face. They must be having a mild winter in Northern California this year. I don't remember every eating strawberries this early. One of the wonderful things to look forward to during the winter season, Fresh Strawberries.
