Canning

We planted a garden at Josh's parents house this year. We love being able to preserve our own food. This year we planted squash, onions, peppers, peas, green beans, pickling cucumbers, corn, cantaloupe, and tomatoes.
It has been a very busy last couple of weeks as the tomatoes have begun to ripen. This year we have made diced tomatoes, quartered tomatoes, salsa, and tomato sauce. I also made pickle relish, and dill pickles.
The corn has been frozen/canned, and all the green beans have been frozen/canned too. It is a great feeling to look at the end result. It is a lot of work, but we will definitely appreciate it this winter.
