I have had a strong desire to make homemade wheat bread for our family for a while now. I have tried several recipes, but it never would come out right. Too dry, too crumbly, Dough would fall in oven. I have even gone and watched a sister (She's 96 years old and makes bread from scratch every week) in my ward make bread so I could master this skill. From her, and several other sisters in my ward I have learned several secrets to making good bread. Like the importance of vital wheat gluten, and dough enhancer. We'll today, I succeeded!! The bread came out perfect, and it taste delicious. It really wasn't too time consuming either. From start to in pans to raise was only 15 min. Now that I finally figured out how to make the bread, I'm going to start grinding the wheat fresh. Josh's parents have an old electric wheat grinder there not using. Here's the recipe, if any one would like to give it a try.
