This is a list of things I have read about or heard about others doing that I would like to incorporate into our families Christmas traditions:
1. I'm going to wrap our families Christmas books and starting on December 1, let the kids take turns opening the one to read that night by our advent candle. This way we get to read all the books, instead of the Polar express every night.
2. I want to make pillowcases out of Christmas fabric. They will be magic pillowcases because when you sleep on them, you have sweet Christmas dreams. They will sleep on them the whole month of December.
3.Every Christmas, instead of a new year’s resolution I would like our family to give a gift to the baby Jesus. We will talk about it at the 1st FHE in Dec and find a box, or stocking to put the papers in. We can then open and read them Christmas morning and see how we did so far. The next year when we set up Christmas we will read our gifts at the 1st FHE and report back how we did. It could be read scriptures everyday, pray more, call everyone on their birthday - that sort of stuff. It gives the goal setting a little more meaning and hopefully we will stick to it better.
4.Watching or Attending the First Presidency Christmas broadcast as a family.
This is all so far. I'm sure I will come up with more as I read about all of your traditions and talk with other friends and family.
Merry Christmas!

Those sound like great traditions you guys! We just got your card yesterday! Your family is adorable and happy 10th to you both too! Time does fly, doesn't it? I'm kinda scared of what the next 10 has to bring, but glad I have my best friend with me! We'd love to meet up some time. Let us know a weekend that's open for you sometime early next year!
Take Care! Merry Christmas! Our letter is coming - just way late this year!
