Ethan came home from school so excited a few weeks ago. He and another kid had been picked out of the whole school to eat lunch that day with a Sheriff. It's a new program in Cache valley to influence kids for good and help establish good feelings about law enforcement with students.
He was able to leave class and go to the lunch room and visit with the sheriff for about half an hour over pizza. He learned all about what they do, how fast they get to drive their c
ar, and what criminals they have captured. After, They took him out to the police car and let him sit inside it and turn on the lights. They even handcuffed him. Ethan thought that was pretty cool. They gave him lots of stickers, a badge, pencils, a certificate and some pictures to remember the day. He was all smiles when he came home. Now he's pondering a career as a Sheriff.

How exciting Ethan! I can tell that you had so much fun. Maybe some day you can go visit your uncle Stephen and take a ride in his police car. Its quite an experience!. Love you, grandma
Wow Rebecca that is a good thing they are doing! How fun for him to experience it and it is moments like this that they never forget! I wish they did that here, I think it is good for the kids to see!
