Today was Ethan's baptism day. We were so proud of his decision to become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We were very grateful for all the family and friends who were able to join us.
The baptism program started at 10:00 a.m. with all 7 candidates and their father's sitting on the front row of the chapel. Ethan looked so happy to be sitting their next to Josh. I was asked to share my feelings about baptism during the program. I was happy to be a part of this special day. When Ethan's turn came to to be baptized, he was anxious to get to the font. They had a special chair in the front row set aside just for the Mother. (They have found that with so many people, the mother often gets pushed to the back of the room and forgotten about) I took my spot, thankful for family helping out with the other children, and looked into the faces of my husband and son as they walked into the water. As Josh said Ethan's name out loud, Ethan Roy Haacke, I had the distinct feeling that my grandfather, Roy Endicott, was there along with many others. A strong witness of the spirit touched my heart. he was pleased to have Ethan share his name. I'm thankful for those tender mercies from the Lord.
After the Baptism, we all moved to the Relief Society room for the confirmation. The Bishop asked Ethan if he had a good and warm feeling inside—Ethan's response was “yes”. Josh mentioned that this was a “once-in-a-lifetime” experience to be able to baptize his fir

st son. In the confirmation blessing it said that Ethan would be able to remember his feelings and experience of this day. Also that Ethan would have a strong body and clean mind, and that He would do well in school.
After the baptism, we all went over to the BSA office for a luncheon. We had pulled pork sandwiches and different side salads. Of course Josh's homemade brownies and lemon bars were a hit also. Ethan opened the wonderful gifts and we all enjoyed visiting.
What a wonderful baptism day it was. Congratulations, Ethan. We love you and are so proud of your decision to make covenants with your Heavenly Father that loves you very much.

We love our camera also! I think it is one of the most valuable things you can own!! Oh the memories they capture and how much we would forget without them!!
