Hiking

We took the family for a hike up by Camp Kiesel to see the fall colors and hopefully see the kokanee salmon swim upstream. It was a 2 mile hike in high on the mountain. Then we descended into a beautiful valley with a stream. We didn't see any fish, but the leaves were unbelievably gorgeous. The kids did really well on the hike. It was only during the last 1/2 mile back to the car that the complaints started coming.

Josh had Abigail on his back in a carrier, while we carried water in a back pack. We had planned to dutch oven cook later, but all the campgrounds were closed or full. We came home and cooked dutch oven pork in the back yard. It made for a fun day together as a family.
